REPLACING GLASS PANELS
Caution: When replacing glass panels, use gloves and eye protection in case a glass panel should be accidentally be broken.

1. Remove the bi-fold door assembly from the fireplace, and place the door face down on a solid flat surface protected by cardboard, cloth, etc.

2. Carefully remove any broken glass fragments, and locate the glass retainer clips which hold the glass panels into the upper and lower trim channels. Each panel of glass must be retained with four glass retainer clips. If these cannot be located, it will be necessary to order these along with the replacement glass panels,

3. To install a glass panel into the trim channels, slide the new glass in from the sides as shown in Figure 1. Then position the glass retainer clips as shown, and gently compress them into the trim channels and glass. Locate these clips approximately 1 1/4" in from each corner of the glass panel. The use of a channel lock type pliers will seat the clips very easily. Take extra care when inserting these so you do not bend the outside edges of the trim channels.

4. If after you have replaced the glass panels you find that the doors are not square, fold the doors together as shown by Figure 2. Notice the pivot and guide pins are next to the table and the hinges are on top. With the door in this position, pressure may be placed on the trim to move it into alignment with the glass panels.
